Door and window opening sensor | Aqara Door and Window Sensor
The wireless sensor will tell you when a window, a door to a house, a safe is opened. This will free you from the household routine: the light will turn on when you open the door of the house, the air conditioner will turn itself off when the window is open. At the same time, the sensor will become part of the security system and warn if a thief enters the house.
How does it work
The sensor consists of two parts: one is attached to the door jamb or window frame, the other is attached to the door itself or the window sash. When you open the door, the contact between the two parts is lost, when you close it, it is restored. Both events serve as a signal for the smart home. The signal from the sensor will go to JetHub and start executing the instruction. For example:
- sends a message to the smartphone;
- turn on the sound alarm;
- turn on the light in the room
- turn off the air conditioner
The sensor remembers when the door or window was last opened. Therefore, you can create an instruction that will remind you to ventilate the house if the window has not been opened, for example, for more than 20 hours.
The sensor keeps a history of events for the last month. Without setting the instructions, you can see what time the child returned from school, whether someone came into your room.
