Glass break sensor (vibration) | Aqara Vibration Sensor
The wireless sensor will monitor the safety of individual items - a window, a safe, a box with valuable documents. In the event of an incident, the sensor will send a message to the smartphone or turn on the sound siren.
Why you need it
For a security system, the sensor is useful in cases where other sensors show their shortcomings. For example, a motion sensor can monitor the entire room, but sometimes there will be false positives - for example, due to pets. The window opening sensor will not help if the window glass is simply broken.
How it works
The sensor can detect three types of events: tilt, fall and vibration.
- If the window is opened, the tilt mode will work.
- If the window is hit, it will notice the vibration.
— If the glass is broken, the sensor will report a fall.
In the application, you choose whether the sensor will trigger when one single event occurs, several events simultaneously, or when any of three events occurs.
